Are You in the Wrong Crowd??

You Are Who You Hang Out With

When I was in high school, I was definitely running with the wrong crowd. My family was living in a not so nice area and I was starting to get into some things that I absolutely had no business being a part of. Right after turning 18, we all transported to a nicer, more safe county. I hated it. I wanted my friends back! I felt alone, and bored. At this point in my life, I realized that being lonely and bored could actually work to my benefit.

I began applying for jobs and landed one right away. I lit a fire under myself of motivation and from there I kept it moving. I was constantly looking for the next best job, and started my first successful business when I was 22. From age 18-22 I completely changed the kind of people I chose to hang out with, and I became something.

Your group of friends should share the same ambitions as you. Your friends do not need to be a bad influence to hold you back from accomplishing great things. If they are lazy, you will become lazy. If they want to party, you will want to party.

You do not need to completely cut anyone out of your life. If you are feeling like you could be accomplishing more, take a step back from your friends. Seclude yourself a little and brainstorm. Allow yourself to be creative. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
